History of the place
The property has been owned by the Flamenco Family, some of the first Spanish settlers in Suchitoto. The house which included initially the whole block on the north side of the Santa Lucia Church. It was built 5 years after the construction of the Santa Lucia Church. The church was inaugurated in 1859.
It is one of the oldest buildings in town and was inaugurated as a restaurant in 2020 just some days before the Covid pandemic struck. It survived under the administration of Luis Flamenco Figueroa, then in August 2025, for personal reasons and opportunities Luis had to migrate and sold the administration of the restaurant to Gringo Tours. The new administration has implemented a hostel in some of the rooms around the beautiful courtyard inside the restaurant. The building and its history can be felt when you come inside.
